Mavis is meant to inspire, encourage and uplift anyone who reads it. No matter the differences or hardships you may face, patience and perseverance will help you prevail. If nothing else, I hope that Mavis can teach that a good friend is worth the wait.

Angela Hausch is a first-time children’s book author who has worked in education for over seventeen years. Her love for animals and her love of the outdoors, especially hiking and gardening, were great inspirations for this story. And much like Mavis, Angela loves arts and crafts, cooking, books, puzzles and her friends and family.
